Tired of poor battery performance, the risk this presents and
the lost hours chasing resolutions?
Cheap batteries are putting first responders in
jeopardy, and it needs to stop. Although there are batteries
still in use from 5 to 7 years ago, some newly manufactured batteries
over the last few years aren’t lasting 12 months. Why?
Quality control has plummeted with some manufacturers with the new price points being
driven by the internet.
Let’s face it. If you’ve tried the “cheapies”,
then you’ve experienced the headache of putting them in and out
of service and shipping them back, only to get replacements that
are no better. We recommend that you buy your batteries from a
local radio shop that can stand behind what you buy. You’ll pay
more, but the quality should be higher, and you can rely on them
to service the warranty so that you don’t have to. |
