RNUG Meeting – A Big
Success!
Despite a major snow storm, over 30 state and
local agencies were represented at the RACOM Network User’s
Group meeting on December 8th. The main priority of
the group is incorporating a common interoperability talk group
that will be shared by all agencies on the network across a
multi-state area. The users nominated a leadership committee to
immediately establish policies and procedures for this talk
group and to create a public directory of radio ID’s (or LIDS)
that will help enable users from different agencies to make
one-to-one/individual calls to each other.
We’d like to congratulate these users for the
level of interoperable communications they’ve already
accomplished with local and state agencies and for their vision
to further enhance regional and statewide capabilities.
