Winter tips:

Spring was in the air this past weekend, but let’s not be fooled.  There’s plenty of cold, snow and ice ahead of us.  Here are a few tips to keep the communications equipment in your vehicles running well:

• Turn off sensitive electronics (like communication equipment) and remove fuses if you have to jump-start your vehicle

• Radios and other electronic equipment are like athletes, they may need to warm-up before they’ll function properly on cold days

• Keep ice cleared off your light bars to avoid expensive repairs

• Keep ice and snow off the antennas

• Beware of snow falling into your trunk when you open it.  When it gets in and melts it can cause problems
