SARA/RACOM Network

What is the SARA/RACOM Network?

Achieving safe communication capabilities for your own agency and interoperability with others is a technical and financial challenge.

Throughout Iowa and parts of surrounding states, RACOM has partnered with local, state and federal agencies in a unique way to meet that challenge — it’s called the SARA/RACOM Network.

The SARA/RACOM Network Benefit

Agencies benefit from the use of a large, advanced trunking system that provides coverage throughout and beyond Iowa without having to buy and maintain your own towers, repeaters and central electronics.

Complete Coverage

You’re also fully interoperable with other agencies on the network. It’s ideal for cooperation among counties, wide-area task forces or other endeavors that include more than one agency each with different coverage requirements.

And the network is migrating to Project 25 which only increases the list of benefits to the users. The RACOM Network incorporates over 300 agency users and nearly 10,000 radios.
