Scott joined RACOM in 2018 and has over 25 years of experience in the land mobile radio industry. His responsibilities include management of day-to-day technical operations and system engineering.
Scott graduated from Indian Hills Community College in 1992 with an Associate of Applied Science in Electronics / Telecommunications. He started his career working for Motorola service shops. Prior to joining RACOM, Scott worked for SIEMENS VDO, which later became Trapeze Group. His various roles included system engineering of wireless voice and data systems, management of engineering groups and customer care departments. Scott has served as the project lead for numerous radio projects in Iowa for public safety systems and across North America for the transit industry.
Outside of work, Scott has leadership roles in several youth programs, including Boy Scouts of America, Cedar Sport Shooting Club, W0VCK Amateur Radio Club, and Pathfinder Outdoor Education Center. Scott and his wife Erin have five children: Bailey, Olivia, Dylan, Tommy, and Madelyn.
